France, Day 1, DFW->CDG

We set off Friday evening from Dallas for Paris.  The trip over couldn't have gone any smoother.  We convinced Conor it was his bedtime shortly after takeoff so he slept soundly the whole 9.5 hours to CDG,

As we made our way out the the airport I was surprised to see the Air France has one of their Concordes (F-BVFF) on display just as you exit the airport.  It's up on pillars with about 10 degrees pitch and a few degrees roll, nose dropped, floating there in a departure climb.

Despite the French Open we made great time to our home for the next few days, Hotel Crillion or Hotel Crayon as I have taken to calling it.  The location is pretty fantastic, we are about a 20 minute walk from either the Eiffle Tower or the Lovue, only a few blocks from the river. The city is much more bright and open than I expected.
