France, Day 8, Versailles

It was an early morning today as we started back to Paris from Dijon.  We had to start early because at the end of the three hour journey we had to check back into the hotel, grab lunch and then meet our guide to Versailles. The palace is about 45 minutes in traffic from the hotel, and tucked away in a suburb of Paris.  Words can not explain the place.  Both the inside and outside we opulent beyond belief.  As we walked around I kept thinking this would be a good place to bring the 1% through to help highlight what happens when there is a huge disparity in wealth.  The inside was really crowed and tough to move though, especially with everyone any their brother trying to take pictures.  I didn't even try inside, especially since you can get a much better photo tour.

We really lucked out as we were there on a day when both the grotto of Apollo was open and they had both the fountains on and music throughout the gardens.  Check before you visit though, because the fountains are only on some days.

Waiting to get Conor's stroller back from French bureaucrats.  We didn't have the right claim form, and even though they agreed it was ours, they wouldn't give it to us
