Spain - Day 2 - Cabrera

After breakfast we set our to hike up to the top of Na Picamosques on Cabrera where a fort is located that held French prisoners form the Napoleonic Wars. Apparently the Spanish hadn't figured out hospitality yet, of the 9,000 soldiers sent only 3,600 survived.  One of the survivors,  JP Pierre Pellissier, penned these lines

"Goodbye rocks, goodbye mountains, Isle of exile and slavery Bye bye huts and beaches It was well it was time to leave you now! ... They have no more victims for you Without any shame flee from this country this burning sky and stark land Where sixteen thousand of us have buried "
We has a much better day.

By the time we got to the top and navigated the insanely small spiral staircase through the fort our party was down to two and we forgot to take pictures of each other at the top.  I did get some shots down into the bay and on the the back side of the island.
