Whenever we can on vacation we like to take a cooking class. Some of them turn out really well, a few have been busts. This one goes right up at the top. We headed to
Possessio Binicomprat located
here. The house and land have been in the same family since 1511 and was recently converted to an "agroturismo" which seems to be a cross between a hotel, B&B, and farm.

After a tour of the winery, house, and vineyards we got down to cooking with the hotel's chef.
While Conor wasn't able to help cook, I think he had the time of his life. The hard free range chickens which he took a great liking to. We had to go back time and time again all morning to visit the chickens. When he wasn't busy with that he was playing with the house kitten or petting the donkeys.

The chef did a great job of teaching as we worked our way though the
menu. We learned some tricks to get the rice just right in paella and go introduced to
pimentos pardon, a new favorite of mine.
