Cooking Class

This morning we did a cooking class in Bellagio with Chef Luigi.  I think I'm going to invent a new term for these and call them cooking experiences rather than classes.  While it's a good time and you get a nice lunch, you don't really learn and cooking technique and you don't really do anything hard.  He was animated, his English was good, and he was passionate about pistachios, but he didn't teach or make any effort to cook or explain what the local cuisine was.  His family was warm and welcoming, and Conor loved playing with his niece.  We make tagliatelle with a veal ragou (a dish from Bologna), weirdly shaped gnocchi,  and tricolor ravioli.

His garden.  He had a several different varies of sage, including one that smelled like pineapple.  Not so much in the basil and oregano families interestingly enough.

Former students had sent him a care pack from Texas that was on display.

What happens when your sister in law gets the sign up sheet for the diplomas after you do.  At least I got a valuation of 10+.
