Circular Church

Circular Church on Meeting street was founded is 1681 and has burials dating to 1695, and we saw many headstones with dates before 1776,  We learned the skull and crossbones was used to indicate the person died of infectious disease to help keep grave robbers and local witch doctors from spreading disease.  The 1695 tombstone apparently has no markings and isn't pointed out on tours to prevent people from chipping away parts and keep sakes.  Kind of sad that would even be an issue.
