I wasn't expecting much from the "small town up the hill" but it was really impressive. Great windy shady alleys and an impressive cathedral. Despite the extreme heat we had a good time wandering around the town.

The cathedral was a highlight of the town.
The biggest snag of the day was lunch. We opted for one of the open air cafes near the town square. While most of the party finished up shopping a 3 of us went to grab a table and order. We thought we did a great job ordering 6 beers and 6 sandwiches, making clear the rest of the party was on their way After a delay that would only be acceptable in Spain 8 beers and 2 sandwiches arrived. I'm not sure how the waitress got that one wrong. After lunch Andrea and I set off to do one of my favorite things, hit up a local bakery. With Andrea's high school Spanish we told the clerk we wanted to pick a few from the case and then let her pick the rest and we wanted typical pastries from Soller. Everything looked great with the exception of this thing that looked with a tiny pizza with peppers on top. Looks can be deceving though, that turned out to be one of the best. It was unexpectedly sweet.
