Oslo

Our hotel in Oslo was The Thief, which does Nordic Modern better than any other hotel I've ever been to.  It's fun, with out being absurd (W, I'm looking at you).  The hotel is in Tjuvholmen  (Thief’s Islet in Norwegian)  which used to be a shipyard for Aker and apparently a pretty horrible neighborhood but got reclaimed starting in the late '90s to become some of the most expensive real estate in Oslo.

It's just steps away from Aker Brygge harbor.  It's pretty amazing, there are 5 million Norwegians and  1 million registered boats.

Who hasn't come back to their hotel like this.
